On one level, this is about the World Cup. But on another, more important level, I'm not really blogging about football at all. Any number of sites will cover the sport much better than I ever could. In part, My World Cup Overfloweth is about the rich diversity of London and the corners of the city that I've never seen - but above all, it's about the people I meet and the stories they tell.
My World Cup Overfloweth was born on the night before the 2010 World Cup kicked off, when I decided to try to find a bar for every country playing in the tournament - and to visit them all while their national team is playing.
Discounting England, that leaves 31 countries. I started it without knowing whether or not I can finish it: that will depend on my luck in picking losing sides in the early rounds, leaving me the chance to watch the better teams in the later stages.
But better to have tried and failed than never to have tried at all.
As a keen amateur photographer, I'll try to get some photos from every game I watch as well.
Thanks for taking the time to have a look round. Let me know what you think!
